The Christmas season is one of songs, and the Sachse High School Madrigal Choir will be performing quite a few of them over the next “two and a half weeks.”

They opened their tour, of sorts, on Dec. 1 at Sachse’s annual Christmas tree lighting, which, perhaps, served as a good warm up for what’s ahead.

“The two and a half weeks in December are really busy,” said Sachse High School head choir director Joshua McGuire. “(The lighting) kicks off all of caroling … Our Madrigal dinner is on Dec. 10-11, and they will be at Northpark (Mall) on Dec. 8, and then they sing for the (Sachse) Chamber (on Dec. 13). Then, they will do a caroling tour on the 18th, where they will be singing at a church in Dallas, at the Park Lane shops and then that evening they are singing with the performance of the Eight & One Dance Company, which has an annual Christmas show in Lower Greenville.”
