Voters will go to the polls May 9 to vote for GISD and Collin County College trustees.

Dwight Loyd Davis and Robert Selders have filed for the Place 6 GISD seat. Davis is a business owner and senior consultant, Selders is the Owner of 3Q Fitness CrossFit in Garland.

According to his financial report Selders received about $4,100 in contributions and his expenditures as of 4/6 were under $100.

Davis did not file a financial report by press time.

Running for Collin College Board of Trustees are Place 7 incumbent Steve Cone, no information received; Collin Kennedy an attorney; restaurant manager Mike Gould and Jim Orr an electrical engineer.

In the Place 8 race are Dr. Robert Collins and Ken Roberts, a businessman.

The Place 9 incumbent Andy Hardin, a business owner, is running unopposed.

To find out the closest voting location, voters should log onto the Dallas or Collin County web sites and type in their precinct number or home address. The polls will be opened from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Collin County elections office is no longer holding May elections, so the next Wylie ISD election will be in November 2015.
