We had a great fun night last Friday. People brought different games that we don’t have down here and we were able to learn some new ones. We did a lot of table-hopping. The snacks were great that added to the evening.

We want to thank Don Evans and Assoc. for sponsoring our lunch last Monday. Don became acquainted with each of us.

Tuesday was such a soggy day we had to cancel the metal detector group. Perhaps next month if it dries up a little we will be able to reschedule.

Jon Nelson, co-owner of Home Helpers sponsored our lunch on Tuesday after the practice bridge class. The balance class and the line dancers exhausted their bodies in the morning.

Wednesday was our big day of the month when we had our monthly potluck luncheon. We had the good fortune to have the Sachse Senior High Pop group and band entertain us. Those young people are such a breath of sunshine and are so talented. We are so glad they wanted to share their talents with us.

Our thanks to Winters Park for sponsoring the entrée for the day and Humana for the door prize, won by Ewa Kocialkowska.

Thursday was filled with exercises and games until the Nestegg Wealth Advisors arrived with their “Remember When” game and lunch. We tried to guess the answers to questions about 1956, and believe it or not, it isn’t that easy, but it was lots of fun.

Friday the nurses were here from Dallas County to take our screenings and keep us healthy.

Now for next week we will see June in and we hope a little drier than May has been. We will receive our free baked goods from Kroger’s each morning of the week except Friday. Chair exercises and games filled the morning. Thanks to Oxford Glen Memory Care of Sachse sponsored our lunch.

Tuesday the practice bridge group and the line dancers will be here early before lunch. The paper craft class and the computer class will meet in the afternoon.

Wednesday we will exercise and play games. 1st Choice In-Home Care will sponsor lunch and the pool challenge will be at 1 p.m.

Thursday we will do our balance class and play bingo in the morning, compliments of Senior Care – Beltline. At noon The Clark Financial Group will sponsor our birthday luncheon.

Friday we will make our monthly trek to Walmart for our staples and outing. Friday evening we will gather for Fun Night. Bring a finger food snack and join us for a lot of fun.

Remember to live your life and forget your age. Until our next visit I will keep the door open.
