Man shot in Garland

Garland Police responded to the report of a shooting at a residence in the 1700 block of Whiteoak Drive shortly after 9:30 p.m. Aug. 7. Upon arrival, they found a 24-year-old male who had been shot.

The man was transported by ambulance to Baylor Hospital of Garland where he was pronounced dead.  Detectives responded to the scene and are investigating the death as a murder. No arrests have been made.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time pending notifications.
