About 100 members of the Sachse community came together Oct. 1 to show their support for the police department.

The “Sachse Back the Blue,” was organized and sponsored by Charles Smith with the help of Cyndi Mitchell and Stepping Stones Learning center.

The large cookout event was held in the parking lot of Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Sachse.
