Cancer survivor takes message of hope, awareness to council meeting

Breast cancer survivor and Relay for Life representative, Martha Wolfe, makes a gesture of a thankful heart before receiving a proclamation supporting National Breast cancer month at a recent Sachse City Council meeting. The Relay for Life Event will be held in April in Sachse this year.

Breast Cancer survivor Martha Wolf addressed the audience during the Oct. 5 regular council meeting. Her message was loud and clear. Cancer is a terrible, disgusting disease but it can be fought. Early detection is key.

Wolf announced that the annual Relay for Life would be held at Sachse High School from 6 p m. to 6 a.m. April 29.
