It was a ducky day May 12 at Whitt Elementary School as members of the Sachse Community Emergency Response Team were recognized by students from the Gifted and Talented program. The ceremony took place in the school cafeteria and the students donated $1000 to the Sachse CERT program.
The fundraiser, designed by the students, is called “Sticky Business.” The task was to make pieces of duck tape clothing accessories and sell the items during lunch period.
