School may be out at Sewell Elementary, but that doesn’t mean the learning has stopped.
Instead or reading, writing and math, though, attending students are being taught, teamwork, good citizenship and understanding the role of police officers in society. It’s all part of the Sachse Police Department’s inaugural Cops and Campers summer camp, a four-session program that is halfway done. The third and fourth camps will begin in July, with No. 3 running July 11-15, and the final one July 18-22.
