GARLAND — Sachse heads into this weekend’s bye off its best performance of the season, a 48-16 victory over Copperas Cove last Friday at Homer B. Johnson Stadium, which very much pleased head coach Mark Behrens.
The break also provides the Mustangs (4-0) extra time to prepare for the 10-6A opener against a good Lakeview Centennial team; that takes place 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30 at Williams Stadium. The Patriots finished non-district play by leveling Frisco Centennial 42-7, and will open 10-6A play this Friday versus South Garland at HBJ.
“We’ve got a great opponent in Lakeview coming up, and we’ve got this week to heal and next week to prepare for them,” head coach Mark Behrens said.
