School is a time for learning and growth, both academically and creatively. However, for many years, students at Garland ISD elementary schools didn’t have the chance to express themselves in the latter; to be more precise, in the world of art.
Then, four years ago, the district began implementing art classes at the elementary level. However, it wasn’t until this school year, the fourth in a five-year program, that Sewell Elementary joined that list.
