It took a while, but the “seeds” planted many years ago finally came into full blossom this past Saturday at the Curtis Culwell Center.

It was there that Sachse’s Class of 2017 completed their final task within the Garland ISD, as they collected their high school diplomas, symbols of a job well done.

“As seeds 12 years ago, we were planted into the school system,” salutatorian Stephanie Hanson told the gathering. “Since then, school has been the foundation from which we have grown both intellectually and personally. Our teachers in elementary school, middle and at Sachse High School watered us to help us grow, and our parents have constantly tended to our growing sprouts, giving us the positivity of sunlight and the wisdom of nutrients, and have pruned us so that we stand tall.”
