A number of Sachse residents were without power Monday morning following a Sunday evening storm.
“We’re hoping to have (everyone back on) as quickly as possible,” Oncor spokesman Jeff Bailey said.
One of affected areas was along Miles Road, which resulted in the cancellation of Monday’s Cops and Campers program at Hudson Middle School. It’s scheduled to resume Tuesday, pending restoration of power.
Earlier today, Oncor reported that 79 homes near Hudson Middle School without power and a smattering of homes along Bailey Rd, according to Sachse Police Chief Bryan Sylvester.
Additionally, the signal lights at Hudson/Miles, Bunker Hill/Miles and the entire intersection at George Bush freeway and Merritt Road are down, the Sachse police reported. Temporary stop signs are positioned at all of the listed intersections.
Bailey said Oncor hopes to have all the power restored by early afternoon today, if not sooner.
Anyone with questions about the Cops and Campers program should contact the Sachse Police Department, 972-495-2271, and ask for Officers Holland or Beauchamp.
