Although the community center won’t open for half a year or so, officials are already preparing for the day Sachse gets its long-awaited hangout spot.
City council discussed hours, membership fees and reservation fees during their workshop and regular meeting Monday, June 3.
Parks and Recreation Director Lance Whitworth gave a presentation and asked for input from councilmembers. No action was taken – he wanted to hear their thoughts so the team can move forward in planning.
The city broke ground for the center in January, and it’s expected to open this winter.
