Anyone looking to celebrate summer can do so without driving more than a few miles.
Sachse’s biggest event of the year – the Red, White and Blue Blast – is only two weeks away.
Beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, thousands of people will descend on Heritage Park to enjoy fireworks, live music, food, vendors, games, contests, a petting zoo, water slides, a splashdown, bounce houses, carnival rides and a parade.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m. and the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Other activities will be ongoing throughout the evening. Lawn chairs, blankets and bug spray are encouraged.
