Teams travel to Hurst

Sachse and Wylie East made the trek to Hurst for a 7-on-7 state tournament.

The Mustangs came up just short of qualifying for the tourney at College Station.

They lost in the qualifying round of the June 15 LD Bell Div. I SQT.

The Mustangs were corralled 39-25 by Rockwall-Heath.

Sachse went 2-1 in Pool D, with wins over Joshua 32-14 and White Settlement Brewer 34-20, and a 33-25 loss to already qualified Guyer.

Wylie East defeated already qualified Midlothian 32-20, and lost to eventual state qualifier Rockwall-Heath 33-20 and Hurst LD Bell 20-19.

Other state qualifiers were Mansfield beating Birdville 30-28, Arlington shut out Mesquite 38-0 and Richardson JJ Pearce defeated Colleyville Heritage 28-21.
