Wylie East graduate Braden Shewmake’s professional baseball debut came sooner than expected.
The 2019 Atlanta Braves draftee was elevated to the Single-A club, Rome Braves, Thursday, June 20.
He was joined by fellow 2019 draftee Shea Langeliers.
Shewmake was the 21st pick and Langeliers went ninth, both in the first round of the first-year player draft.
