Water safety crucial as summer heats up

As summer continues to heat up Collin and Dallas Counties Sachse residents make their ways to lakes and pools to do their best to cool off.

Though water can provide a relief from Texas heat and high temperatures, it also can pose danger.

Already this year, the area has experienced the results of dangerous boating activities.

Collin County Game Warden Trent Marker advises everyone to refresh themselves on the Water Safety Act and make sure all equipment is up to date before venturing out on area lakes.
