Garland ISD students performed slightly better than their counterparts throughout the state on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) test this spring.
The Texas Education Agency released the results last month, breaking down scores for individual districts and campuses. Students in grades 3-8 take STAAR, and high schoolers take the tests as an end-or-course (EOC) requirement for graduation.
Sachse High School test-takers beat statewide marks in each subject area: Biology, English I, English II, Algebra I and U.S. History.
