New laws go on the books effective Sept. 1

Starting next month, Texans will be able to order beer and wine with a pizza delivery and buy craft beers at a brewery.

Those changes in state laws are among the 477 approved by the 86th Texas Legislature. Some of the new laws have already taken effect and others, including the alcohol-related statutes, take effect Sept. 1.
