A year of change

Although the 2020-21 school year was Morgan Pow­er’s first year as principal of Whitt Elementary, she was al­ready steeped in Wolf culture, which proved beneficial as she navigated the uncertain waters of leading a school during a pandemic.

Power became the assistant principal of Whitt in 2018. She said her first impressions of the school were those of a feeling of family and community.
