Six years ago, Wylie resident Michael Tew hit a breaking point when he had to turn back to the starting line of a 5K run after walking only a short distance. He knew he would be unable to finish if he kept going.
At that point, Tew was nearly 400 pounds. He and his wife both had a family history of obesity and related health issues.
