After a terrific opening week of January, the Sachse Lady Mustangs now sit atop the District 9-6A standings with just eight games to go. In their first game back from winter break, the girls got a pivotal 56-52 victory over Wylie on the road to give the Lady Pirates their first loss of the district schedule.
From there, they wrapped up the first half of the district slate with a 62-23 victory over North Garland. At 8-0, the Lady Mustangs are now the final unbeaten team in the group and can clinch a playoff spot with a pair of wins this week, as well as a Lakeview loss to Garland and a Lady Owls loss to North Garland.
