Students recognized, election cancelled

With two trustee positions, Robert Selders Jr., Place 6, and Wesley Johnson, Place 7, running unopposed for the May 2024 Garland ISD Board of Trustees, the General Election was cancelled at the Tuesday, Feb. 27, regular meeting.

Also at the meeting, a teacher and students from the district were honored for their accomplishments. Allyson Galitz from Sachse High School was recognized for being among six district dance teachers who earned a Division 1 rating from the Dance Educators Assessment of Learning (DEAL).
