After lengthy discussions on the topic in recent meetings, council finally authorized City Manager Gina Nash to execute an amended contract with Community Waste Disposal (CWD), the city’s solid waste and recycling provider, just before the current contract expires at the end of the month.
The Sachse Economic Development team was recognized for receiving the 2023 Economic Excellence Achievement Recognition from the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC).
On the consent agenda, council authorized Nash to execute a professional services agreement for the design of the Public Works pump station improvements.
Mayor Jeff Bickerstaff presented a proclamation to Christopher Brentle, a Sachse resident and land surveyor, to recognize National Surveyors Week.
