Observe, learn from Sachse first responders

by | Apr 18, 2024 | Latest

If you want to ride in a firetruck, practice intubation on a manikin head, cut the doors off a car and climb a 100-feet ladder, then apply now for the Sachse Citizens Fire Academy.

Sachse Fire-Rescue is taking applications and classes are set for 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays beginning April 25 and ending June 20. Classes will include lessons over a variety of programs in the fire service. The classes will also allow you to experience the daily life of a firefighter including special rescues, emergency medical services, fire prevention, public education, community outreach, apparatus, personal protective equipment and volunteer programs and opportunities.
