The Garland ISD board of trustees meeting was truncated due to the storm leaving many campuses without electricity at the end of the school year. But it did include the approval of raises for the district’s teachers.

Trustees Robert Selders, Jr., Place 6, and Wes Johnson, Place 7, took the oath of office for new terms at the Tuesday, May 28 meeting. Both ran unopposed in the Board of Trustees election scheduled for May 4. The two were certified as elected back in February when the election was cancelled.
