Infrastructure to play large role in 2024-25 budget

by | Aug 8, 2024 | Latest

Infrastructure repairs will play a large role in Sachse’s 2024-25 budget, as Assistant City Manager Lauren Rose said there are “infrastructure failures” across town.

“We know … we have expensive infrastructure needs that really have not been addressed for one reason or another over time,” Rose said during Monday’s special city council meeting where she presented proposals for the 2024-25 budget.

Rose added the city’s Bond 2021 program brought success to sections of the city, but said it is evident streets, alleys, utilities and major thoroughfares need work.
