Sachse City Council approved — although not unanimous — to move forward with a professional agreement with Ron Hobbs Architects to begin the design and project scope of a new service center.

The building will house public works and the parks department.

“We’re running out of time in these buildings,” said councilmember Chance Lindsey.

City Manager Gina Nash told council the public works facility has “failed,” adding, “anything that can fail has failed in that building.”
