Creel named Region 10 Outstanding Principal of the Year

SACHSE — Shae Creel, principal of Sachse High School, has been selected by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) as the Region 10 Outstanding Principal of the Year.

The honor recognizes outstanding principals and assistant principals from the 20 Education Service Center regions across the state.

Creel, who has served as principal at Sachse High School since 2016, was nominated by his peers in the region based on his exemplary performance and leadership. With eight years of experience as a principal, Creel is known for his visionary approach and willingness to take risks in the pursuit of educational excellence.

“Winning the Region 10 Outstanding Principal Award is a tremendous honor and a testament to the collective effort and dedication of our entire school community,” Creel said. “This recognition is not just about individual achievement, but about the collaborative spirit and commitment of our district, teachers, staff, students, and families. It reflects our shared vision and hard work in creating an environment where every student can thrive. I am deeply grateful for this acknowledgment.

A graduate of East Texas State University, Creel earned his bachelor’s degree before obtaining a Master of Education in Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

As the Region 10 winner, Creel is now eligible to compete for the state title of Texas Principal of the Year. The regional winners will be honored at a special dinner, which is held during the TASSP Summer Conference each June. They will also be featured in a commemorative book titled “Texas Principals, Texas Heroes.”
