City receives award; hears Medical City Sachse update

Medical City Sachse CEO gave council a brief overview the facility.

Two recognitions kicked off Sachse’s regular council meeting on Monday, Oct. 21.

Mayor Jeff Bickerstaff announced October as National Code Compliance Month, recognizing the city’s code compliance officers and their work.

Additionally, the development services department was recognized for receiving the 2024 Richard R Lillie, FAICP Planning Excellence Achievement Award.

The award was given to Sachse for their planning efforts reflecting a commitment to economic development and enhancing community image. Development Services Director Matt Robinson formally accepted on behalf of the city.
