For the second consecutive season, Sachse has won the District 9-6A title.

The Mustangs accomplished the feat after cruising to a 30-7 win over Naaman Forest at Williams Stadium on Thursday.

Sachse (8-1, 7-0) clinched the title with a stout defense that allowed Naaman Forest to advance past midfield just twice during the first three quarters of play.

Senior running back Brendon Haygood continued his standout senior season by rushing for 169 yards and one touchdown.

Junior quarterback Dirk Williams Jr. threw for 135 yards and a touchdown while adding a score on the ground for the Mustangs, connecting with Santana Quinn for a score. Josh Ridge added a nine-yard rushing touchdown late in the game to help put the contest out of reach.

It was the 16th consecutive district win for Sachse, dating back to the 2022 season. The Mustangs can clinch a second straight perfect 8-0 district record with a victory over Rowlett next Thursday.
