One year after the Sachse volleyball team made it all the way to the regional semifinals, the Lady Mustangs were unable to recreate the same type of magic Monday.
Sachse battled but was unable to keep pace with Rockwall in a 17-25, 11-25, 18-25 Class 6A-Div. I bi-district playoff loss from Rowlett High School on Monday evening.
Kaelynn Sims notched nine kills in her final game donning a Sachse uniform. Raniyah Temple had three kills, followed by two apiece from Ia’neiah Spears and Khloi Crawford. Emma Blancovich set up the Lady Mustangs’ offense and she dished out 15 assists. Taber Torres recorded 16 digs to lead Sachse’s defensive efforts.
Errors plagued Sachse, which tallied 19 attack errors on the evening, compared to 18 kills, and hit at a minus-0.011 efficiency.
The Lady Mustangs finished the season with a 23-18 record and captured third place in District 9-6A.
