Sachse remained undefeated in District 9-6A following a dominant 60-34 home win over Wylie East on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

The Lady Mustangs, ranked No. 20 in the latest Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 6A state poll, held the Lady Raiders to nine field goals.

Sachse led 19-9 at the end of the first quarter, thanks in part to an early offensive outburst from senior Charish Thompson. Thompson scored 12 of her game-high 21 points in that span of play. Junior forward Arianna Gregory finished with 13 points in the victory, followed by 12 from senior Camille Logan.

Senior Saliz Ward scored 14 points to pace Wylie East. Junior Sidney Sanders tallied eight points.

Sachse improved to 13-4 overall, 3-0 in district. Wylie East dropped to 7-10, 1-2.
