A Bond 2023 review and recognitions were part of the final Garland ISD trustee meetings in December.
Both a special and regular meeting were held on Dec. 17, 2024, to review district projects, approve funding allocations and hear public comments.
The special meeting featured a comprehensive update on the Bond 2023 program from Javier Fernandez, GISD’s Chief Operations Officer. Fernandez reviewed the progress of active projects as of December 2024, focusing on several major schools: Armstrong Elementary, Hudson Middle School, and Sachse High School. The update covered improvements to security systems and IT infrastructure funded by the bond.
