Sachse alum Crislyn Rose has helped to lead the Arkansas State University women’s basketball team to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
Arkansas State defeated James Madison, 86-79, in the championship game of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Red Wolves were led by Rose, who scored 23 points going 10-for-16 from the field to earn the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
Arkansas State will play UConn in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at noon, Saturday, March 22 from Harry A. Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn.
