Micah Moore is returning to Garland ISD.

Moore was hired as Sachse head boys’ basketball coach on Friday, May 16. He was introduced to parents of the players on the team by SHS Principal Shae Creel at a meet-and-greet that was held Tuesday, May 20 in the Sachse High School Library. He met with the players on the team for the first time earlier in the day.

Moore previously worked in Garland ISD from 2014-16 as an assistant coach for the Lakeview Centennial boys’ basketball team. He was on the same coaching staff with former Sachse High School boys’ basketball coach Zachary Mikesell, who Moore said is one of his best friends, at Lakeview Centennial. Prosper Richland, which will open its doors for the first time to students this August, hired Mikesell as the school’s first-ever boys’ head basketball coach on Feb. 25.
