The Von Trapp family will return for the Garland Summer Musical production of “The Sound of Music.”

Garland Summer Musicals kicks off its 2025 season with the beloved Broadway and film classic “The Sound of Music,” running weekends from June 13 through June 22. The second production of the season, “Catch Me If You Can,” will take the stage July 18 through July 27.

Patty Granville, producer of the Garland Summer Musicals, said “The Sound of Music,” which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2025, was the final collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein. It has since become one of the world’s most iconic musicals.

The show features a collection of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen,” and the title song, “The Sound of Music.” It captured the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning multiple Tony Awards and Academy Awards.
