After nearly two decades of dedicated service to the city, Sachse Animal Shelter Supervisor Terri O’Neal officially retired Thursday, June 26.

A retirement party in her honor drew many attendees, including city staff, family members, friends, and community members. The celebration was held in the Sachse Police Department training room, where Police Chief Bryan Sylvester presented O’Neal with a plaque recognizing her years of meritorious service.

O’Neal, who led the shelter for the past 18 years, announced her retirement earlier in the week via a heartfelt Facebook post.
