The Sachse Economic Development Corporation presented its proposed budget for fiscal year 2025-26 during a board meeting held last month, outlining continued investments in strategic priorities and projecting a deficit for the second consecutive year.
According to the presentation, projected revenues for the EDC in FY 2026 total $1,875,000, while expenditures are expected to reach $2,228,013. That leaves a projected budget shortfall of approximately $353,013. The previous fiscal year, which ends on Sept. 30, also recorded a year-to-date deficit of more than $366,000 as of June 18.
