Sachse officials are looking to keep the city’s property tax rate unchanged in the upcoming fiscal year, as City Manager Gina Nash outlined budget plans during a July 28 workshop.
Nash told the City Council during the workshop, another in its multi-phase process in developing a budget to run the city starting Oct. 1. The fiscal year runs through Sept. 30, 2026.
Sachse residents can expect to pay a little more than 65 cents per $100 of assessed property value for city services in the coming fiscal year, Nash said, adding that she projects “modest growth” in the city as its growth rate is showing signs of slowing from the rapid expansion seen in recent years.
