Sachse council has accepted a proposed budget from City Manager Gina Nash that keeps the municipal tax rate at its current level and leaves the city coffers with a surplus of about $68,000 at the end of the 2025-2026 budget year.
Meeting at its regular session Aug. 18, council heard a report from Finance Director David Baldwin, who went through many of the items covered in the council’s budget workshop earlier this month.
