Last week was the first week of the early signing period for high school seniors across the nation.

Student-athletes from Plano East, Sachse, Wylie and Wylie East put pen to paper and signed a National Letter of Intent with their college of choice, where they will compete in athletics and pursue their academic goals.

Sachse had six signees across three sports, with three of those signees coming from the Lady Mustangs soccer team.

Midfielder Kate McCallister (Oklahoma), forward Kylee Blair (East Central University) and defender Clara Dowdle (Oregon) helped lead Sachse to an appearance in the Region II-6A Division I final earlier this year.

Pitcher Alex Moreno and utility player Greyson Darden, who helped lead the Sachse baseball team to another district title earlier this year, made it official last week. Moreno will pitch for Baylor University, and Darden will play for Murray State College.

Dylan Wisener, last season’s District 9-6A champion in boys golf, will compete for Pittsburg State University.
