WISD trustees review bond progress, budget planning

The Wylie ISD Board of Trustees held its regular meeting Monday, Jan. 20, outlining multiple developments and updates planned for the district this year.

The meeting opened with several recognitions, including the appointment of Janet Wyatt as Achieve Academy principal and Dale Ramirez as Hampton Intermediate School principal. Trustees also recognized Wylie ISD faculty members and students from Wylie East High School and Wylie High School, including the Wylie East A Cappella Choir, football team members, athletic trainers, and others for All-State achievements.

Following the recognitions, trustees received updates on the district’s budget calendar, the Bond 2023 project and the Wylie ISD Education Foundation.
