Three records were broken by the Sachse track and field team at the Wylie Distance Festival.

Sophomore Dominic Richardson broke the school record that stood for 31 years in the boys 1-mile run with a time of 4:26.77. He broke the previous record of 4:27.32, which had been held since 2005 by Robert Reed, currently the head cross country coach at Plano East.

Abigail Leonard and Samuel Ledbetter, both juniors, set the Wylie ISD Stadium record in the 5-kilometer run. Ledbetter finished with a time of 16:19, while Leonard crossed the finish line in 18:31.
