The state of Sachse is sound, according to Mayor Jeff Bickerstaff, who praised city staff and community volunteers for their commitment to serving residents.
Bickerstaff delivered his annual State of the City address Thursday night, Feb. 12, during a recognition dinner attended by representatives from local, state and federal offices, school board and district partners, and about 150 residents at Northplace Church in Sachse.
In a surprise announcement, Bickerstaff unveiled a new “community logo” intended to strengthen connections between the city and its residents.
“We created this logo to inspire pride and help everyone who lives, works or visits here feel like they belong,” he said, encouraging attendees to place bumper stickers on their vehicles and “help us share the pride around town and beyond.”
