Sachse launches traffic, pedestrian safety study

by | Feb 26, 2026 | Area News, Latest

The city of Sachse has launched a comprehensive traffic and pedestrian safety study in The Station development as increased growth and activity continue to reshape how people move through the area.

The study, conducted in partnership with Lee Engineering, will examine traffic patterns, pedestrian access and overall safety throughout The Station, which has become a hub for housing, dining, medical services and recreation in recent years.

As development has expanded, city officials said traffic volumes and pedestrian activity have increased, prompting a closer look at how vehicles, walkers and cyclists navigate the area. The study will focus on improving safety, comfort and traffic flow while evaluating whether current infrastructure is functioning as intended.
