The Sachse Historical Society adopted a redesigned logo, approved new leadership and outlined plans for upcoming programming during its Sunday, March 1 annual meeting, which filled the organization’s museum building.

Members unanimously approved the updated logo, created by corporate member Paula Matthews of Rivixx. The new logo replaces the society’s longtime design with a simplified rendering of the historic William Sachse home and will appear on future publications, merchandise and promotional materials.

“Unless you knew that was William Sachse’s house, you wouldn’t know what it meant,” outgoing President Ed Brown said, explaining the reason for the redesign.
