What makes the Sachse girls soccer team a dangerous team is that anyone is capable of taking over a game at any given time.

Emma Ramirez was the latest Lady Mustang to make her mark.

Ramirez posted a hat trick with three goals to lead Sachse to a 3-1 win over Tyler Legacy in a Class 6A Division I bi-district playoff match at Mabank High School on Thursday.

Thursday’s win was the 20th consecutive win for Sachse (22-2), which hasn’t lost since Jan. 6 when the Lady Mustangs fell 1-0 to Flower Mound.

Tyler Legacy took a 1-0 lead in the game’s first minute.

Sachse tied the score at 1-1 in the fourth minute. After Kate McCallister got fouled inside the penalty box, Ramirez converted the ensuing penalty kick.

Ramirez gave the Lady Mustangs their first lead of the match in the 15th minute. After Tyler Legacy was called for a handball in the penalty area, Ramirez stepped up to the line and converted the second PK of the match for Sachse for a 2-1 lead.

Sachse’s lead grew to 3-1 after Ramirez completed her first-half hat trick just five minutes later.

Sachse advances to the area round and will play the winner of Friday’s match between Duncanville and Bryan next week at a date and location to be determined.
