It was a historic season on the pitch for Sachse.
The Lady Mustangs became the first girls soccer team from Garland ISD to reach the state semifinals, while the Mustang boys won their first district title in five years.
Their efforts have been recognized by the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches.
For the Lady Mustangs, senior defender Sierra Rush was named to the Class 6A all-state second team, senior forward Kate McCallister was named to the all-region first team, junior midfielder Lia Lopez landed on the All-Region II-6A second team, and sophomore midfielder Emma Ramirez earned recognition on the all-region honorable-mention team.
For the Mustang boys, sophomore goalkeeper Josiah Alvarez, junior defender Jovanni Vazquez and senior forward Julian Hinojosa were named to the all-region first team, and senior midfielder Daniel Dominguez earned recognition on the all-region honorable-mention team.
