City secretary keeps Sachse running smoothly

Sachse Mayor Jeff Bickerstaff recently honored City Secretary Leah Granger for her work as an outstanding municipal clerk, recognizing a role that extends far beyond taking notes at meetings or preparing agendas.

The proclamation presented by Bickerstaff described municipal clerks as professionals who possess “extensive knowledge of legal procedures, administrative processes and community relations” and called them fundamental to the efficient operation of local government.

For Granger, the recognition highlights a profession many residents may not fully understand.
